Our client is a major player in the construction sector. Their mission is to build sustainably and future-proof. In addition to new construction and renovation, they also produce building materials, including ceramic roof tiles.
These ceramic roof tiles are produced, among other places, at their production site in Venlo. For this location, they are looking for an enthusiastic warehouse employee to keep everything running smoothly in the logistics department. In this role, you will drive around on your forklift truck, making sure that all goods are in the right place at the right time. You will be ready with your forklift to unload all incoming goods from the trucks and place them in the correct spot. You will also collect the correct goods for orders, prepare them for transport, and load them onto trucks. In addition, you will sometimes step away from the forklift to handle administrative tasks or to think along with your team leader and colleagues about the optimal layout of the yard and ways to maintain high quality. You are also responsible for the daily maintenance of your forklift and know how to resolve simple, common malfunctions. Of course, you will do all of this with a constant focus on safety.
- Loading and unloading trucks, while also checking the packing slip, quantity, type, and color
- You collect goods, check them, and transport them to the correct location
- Where necessary, you assist production with transport activities
- You identify and address shortages and defects in products and packaging
- You take care of the daily maintenance of your forklift and can resolve simple malfunctions
- You register the necessary administration correctly and accurately
