Our client is a leading transport company with a rich history and a strong international focus. With a total of 250 professionals in service, they take on logistical challenges worldwide. From transport to assembly and installation, and from warehousing to project management and advice on customs procedures. At our client, customer satisfaction and quality come first.
To strengthen their team, they are looking for a full-time all-round freight forwarder. In this role, together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for all national and international road transport and intermodal transport. You are involved from start to finish; you begin by advising the customer on the most efficient logistics solution. Next, you search for the right partners for the transport, draw up the quotation and take care of all administration, such as arranging customs documents. Then the transport begins; you monitor this closely and identify problems almost before they arise. You know how to resolve these quickly while staying within the set margins, transport costs and expected service levels. You do this, of course, with a sharp eye on applicable laws and regulations. Throughout the entire process, you are the point of contact for the customer, the carrier and your internal colleagues. It is therefore important that you are confident and communicate clearly, adapting effortlessly to whoever you're speaking with. Once the goods have been delivered to their destination, your work is not done. You extract points for improvement from the entire process and identify where optimization and improvement are needed, not only for your own processes but also company-wide. Whenever there are commercial opportunities, both with existing and new customers, you identify these and pass them on to the commercial department.

- You are the point of contact for customers, carriers and internal colleagues
- Organizing, monitoring and handling transports from start to finish, both nationally and internationally, and both by road and intermodal
- You are responsible for the related administration, including drawing up quotations, customs documents and invoices
- You maintain and develop relationships with customers and carriers
- Identifying deviations or problems and devising and implementing the most efficient solution
- You continuously monitor transport costs, margins and service levels delivered, and make adjustments where necessary
