For one of our clients, we are looking for a working foreman in landscaping. In this role, you are responsible for directing and guiding a great team of at least 2 assistant gardeners. Together with your team, you will go out to ensure that your maintenance district looks top-notch. You direct your team and make sure the work is done correctly. Together, you make sure the grass really is greener. Besides carrying out the assignments you receive, you are also alert to spots where maintenance is needed. You raise these observations during consultations with the district manager, so that action can be taken. Once a job is completed, you report to the supervisor. Good communication skills are therefore important, both towards your colleagues and towards supervisors.
In addition, you're eager to roll up your sleeves yourself and pick up the brush cutter, get to work with the hedge trimmer, or get going with a hoe. You lead by setting a good example. Seeing immediate results from your work is what makes you feel good.
- Directing and guiding employees
- Reporting to the supervisor and consulting with the district manager
- Constructing, renovating, and maintaining parks and green spaces, sports fields, and company gardens
- Planting trees, shrubs, and perennials
