For one of our clients, we are looking for an assistant foreman in landscaping. In this role, you are responsible for supervising and guiding a great team of at least 2 assistant gardeners. Together with your team, you'll head out to make sure your maintenance district looks its very best. You lead your team and ensure the work is carried out correctly. Together you make sure the grass really is greener. Besides carrying out the assignments you receive, you're also alert to spots where maintenance is needed. You raise these observations during discussions with the district manager, so that action can be taken. Once a job is completed, you report to the site supervisor. Good communication skills are therefore important, both towards your colleagues and towards supervisors.
On top of that, you're always ready to roll up your sleeves yourself and pick up the brush cutter, get to work with the hedge trimmer, or start hoeing. You lead by setting a good example. Seeing the immediate results of your work is something you truly enjoy.
- Supervising and guiding employees
- Reporting to the site supervisor and holding discussions with the district manager
- Constructing, renovating and maintaining green spaces and parks, sports fields and company gardens
- Planting trees, shrubs and perennials
- Removing weeds
- Mowing greenery and paved areas
- You are the first point of contact at the work location
- Carrying out (light) administrative tasks for time registration
- You contribute to carrying out the work. From operating a brush cutter to working with manual tools
